Abstract:

The purpose of this research is to evaluate the views of teachers regarding Ministry of National Education 2013 Preschool Education Program and determine the state of their usage of this program. This research is conducted by adopting screening model. The data was collected through survey. Sampling of this research consists of 265 teachers serving in kindergartens and preschools related with Ministry of National Education in three districts of Ankara (Altindag, Cankaya and Yenimahalle). It was determined as a result of the research that (i) big majority of them examined the program, (ii) more than half of the teachers attended to in-service training and found the program comprehensible, (iii) they have positive thoughts regarding guidance of program book and activity book, (iv) they use child observation form, development report and portfolio evaluation tools, (v) they can form learning centers partially due to physical deficiencies and material insufficiencies, (vi) big majority of them can plan and execute the processes inside monthly education plan, daily education plan and activity plan, (vii) they have some problems while planning and executing the processes of field trips, daily evaluation times, adaptation and parental involvement, (viii) the majority can make most of the evaluation processes of the program.Besides, a ,05 level differentiation was found in field trips and adaptation factors according to age and in-service training.
