Abstract:

In this thesis study, a novel multi-band antenna was designed and manufactured by blending a fractal shape and Defected Ground Structure (DGS) to achieve superior performances. The design made in this case is perfectly compatible with geosynchronous satellite communications. Utilizing the Apollonius circle, a unique fractal shape was modeled and the antenna was grounded to work with different frequency bands. The designed single antennas were aligned to form a 2x2 array antenna structure. The test results of the manufactured antenna proved that a successful arrangement was made in computer simulation and the efficiency of small antenna design.
