Abstract:Estimates, make comment about the future with benefiting from the data in the past. Strategies and methods are developed using these estimates. Occupational accidents leads to not only financial but also spiritual harm in our country. So occupational health and safety has become an important issue by many countries. In recent years, occupational health and safety awareness has become widespread with the changes in our legislation in our country. As a result of measures taken pursuant to applicable legislation, it is necessary to examine how they affect the number of accidents. The data of the previous years should be benefitted, because of this examination performed correctly. The statistics of occupational accidents and occupational diseases is published by the Social Security Institution in our country. In this study, the sectors of which experienced the most occupational accidents were found from benefiting the Annual Statistics of Social Security Institution and calculations were made with the statistical estimation methods for these sectors. The comparison of the found values was done by prediction error methods. Accordingly, statistical forecasting method that the best result for the sectors were set. Estimates were made for the four sectors that experienced the most job accidents by using these determined methods
