Turkey electricity energy industry that consists of 3 stages such as generation- transmission- distribution goes trough transition and change period. The effect of liberalization period that has improved from 1990 to 2000 can be seen on energy industry. In particular it has improved in electricity energy industry. In this study two models have been used, which are financial and technical models. In this study, financial and technical performances of electricity distribution companies were measured. To perform this analysis, data of 21 distribution companies between 2007 and 2011 years were used. To prevent errors in performance measurement because of the reasons that distribution companies cannot control, transformation was done on data while determining outputs and inputs. Data Envelopment Analysis has been applied by using input CCR and BBC models in the study. Efficiency scores of the firms have been calculated according to this analysis and it has been ranked and commented according to both financial and technical models. The main result of the study of companies financial and technical performance is that there is no parallel trend between them over the years. The results can be used in order to lead to electricity distribution firms for serving to the society and using both financial and technical sources.
