Bu araştırmanın temel amacı; Biyoloji öğretmen adaylarının The main purpose of this research is to evaluate the pedagogical field knowledge of biology teacher candidates about air pollution. The study was carried out with the case study method,which is one of the patterns of qualitative research methodology.The study group is composed of 5 prospective teachers who are studying in the last year of Biology Education at Gazi Üniversity in 2017-2018 academic year. The research data were collected by using observation ,interview and document analysis methods considering the sub-problems created for the research.The data obtained from the study group show that subject area knowledge is necessary for pedagogical area knowledge ,but it is necessary to have subdimensions of subject area knowledge as well as pedagogical area knowledge.Pedagogical knowledge ,understanding of the student ,curriculum knowledge ,measurement and evaluation knowledge ,teaching strategy ,method and technical knowledge constitute the other dimensions of pedagogical field knowledge.
