Abstract:

The aim of this study is the evaluation of the original and eligible Ali Petek dwelling, which is located in Büyükalan Village. Büyükalan stands out with its structures constructed in unique düğmeli construction technique in Akseki Province of Antalya. Most parts of the structure were destroyed as a result of the fire that took place in 2017 while this study was still in progress. Under this study, a survey documenting the state of the structure before the fire was implemented between the years 2014-2015; parts of the structure that have changed were identified and making use of the verbal data and comparative studies, a restitution project containing the initial condition of the structure when it was first built was arranged. Following the restitution project, along with allocating a new function to the structure that was partially destroyed owing to the fire, a reconstruction proposal has been put forward.
