Abstract:

Art is a developing a form of wording which is constantly improving and adding new phrases into their language. In this growth area, art has been met with public spaces and transformed these spaces into exhibition areas. The audience can become a part of this process by continuing their daily lives. This process is fed up with the participation of their participation, as well as their awareness. Installation art aims major improvements in public art by the versatility of it's concept, consisting of several branches of the plastic arts, the texture of the venues with it's active associations intended to memory and history. Public space installations that became part of this development, began to be questioned by the forms of self-expression. Manifesto has been the primary expression in the artwork analysis. In this study, from the art announcement up to the artwork recognition processes, analyzing the relationship between public art installations and the art manifesto, explaining by examples and following connotation and context of manifesto trails in the manufacturing process of public space installations, conclusions and observations of the viewers were investigated. Within the scope of this research, Chair series were exhibited in public places with their two different manifestos and the processes have been observed
