Abstract:There is an increasing concern that Global Positioning System (GPS), the most well-known and widely used among Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), is vulnerable to the jammers. The most popular method for mitigating the effectiveness of GPS jammers on conventional GPS receivers is to steer nulls to the direction of arrival (DOA) of the jamming signals using the adaptive antenna array so that the jamming signals are spatially filtered before reaching the receiver. The aim of this thesis is to estimate the DOA of jamming signals by using antenna array and then to adaptively suppress the jamming signals by re-shaping the antenna pattern through metaheuristic optimization algorithm.
