Abstract:Furniture industry in Turkey since the 1990s with the participation of medium and large-scale enterprises in manufacturing industry in the country with 3% contribution to production has an important place. Furniture with ease of use, comfort and aesthetic dimensions can directly affect to the quality of human life in all parts of spaces both physical and psychological aspects. In the analysis of furniture for acquisition of raw materials, manufacturing, use and after use, including the process of product life cycle; the use of chemical contented materials and volatile organic compounds directly or indirectly affect the human life and eco system. According to the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, \"Everyone has the right to life, liberty and security of person\" and the Constitution of Turkey, article 56; \"Everyone has the right to live a healthy and balanced environment is the phrase\", the rights of human life were secured. The use of the human rights begins with the formation of a healthy environment. From this perspective, this thesis aims to analyze the creation of furniture and housing elements in houses and gas emission in the life circle of furniture. According to the research result, different usage of materials ranging from wood to plastic was found. According to the determination of gas emission (21 gases) in the production and use of furniture, the farthest values to the standard ppm values were found in varnishing and pressing workshops while the nearest values were found in schools and houses.
