Abstract:In this study, we assessed the data about the methods, notes, other tools and instructional strategies gathered by using interviewing and surveying techniques that are resources used at guitar education offered in institutions providing amateur music education. In the introductory part, information on music education, amateur music education and guitar education is given and, from the perspectives of a variety of resources, historical development of the guitar is explained. Also in this part, the aim, importance, constraints and premises of the study and various concepts and definitions related to the study are given. Under the title of Relevant Studies, different theses and articles, which have been conducted earlier, that were used and referred to in this study are mentioned. In the second part, the method used in the study is explained and information on the model, space and samples, data gathering and data analysis of the study is given. The acquired information and detected methods are evaluated also in this part. In the last part of the study, the results attained under the light of the acquired data are given and some suggestions developed based upon these results are offered.
