Abstract:In this study, the music teacher candidates last year of secondary school students on their opinions of their competence in the music curriculum for the target behaviour is intended to determine whether they are ready for the music teaching profession. Working group of the 2017-2018 academic year of study at Gazi University Faculty of Education Fine Arts Education Department a total of 48 music teacher studying Music Education Department in the form of the candidate. The study is limited to the target behaviours of the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade music curriculum in secondary education. The research based on survey method is a descriptive study. In the study, the triple Likert scale prepared by the researcher was used to determine opinions about the qualifications of the music teacher candidates for the curriculum. Identification of students' competencies and incomplete, music teacher candidates to be ready for occupation and is considered important in terms of determining the measures to be taken in this regard. As a result of the research, music teacher candidates; 50% of "Adolescent voice mutation", 48% "canon tunes", 46% of the "Required march repertoire", 41% thought of Ataturk on Turkish music, the candidates were generally more successful in the 5th grade subjects.
