Abstract:Our country has made great progress in foreign language teaching techniques, especially in the last 30 years. While traditional methods are losing their effectiveness on one hand, on the other, new methods revealed by some needs, become more common and more used ones in language teaching. One of these methods is The Communicative Language Teaching Method. Researches and theses on the The Communicative Language Teaching Method have increased in recent years. Works on communicative methods and practices in Arabic language education is extremely limited. In this study, The Communicative Language Teaching Method is evaluated through the eyes of Arabic teachers.In the first part of the work; we focused on the purpose, importance, limitations, suppositions, definitions of the research. In addition, method of the research and some of the other studies have been done about the communicative method, are listed. In the second part; historical development of Arabic teaching in Turkey was discussed. Also the current situation of Arabic education was handled. In the third part of the study; detailed information about communicative language teaching methods which is the starting point of our research was given. This method was studied through the four basic skills of language teaching. In the fourth part of the thesis; we handled the methodology used in this study and research findings were given. In conclusion part; the obtained data was evaluated specifically and some suggestions were made.
