This study is devoted to the determination of material culture elements in Bektashi velâyetnameleri. The studies about material culture are generally done as text, the dictionary meaning of the determined material culture elements and the biographies of the people who are the subject of the study. We used Hacı Bektâs-ı Veli, Odman Baba, Abdal Mûsâ, Kaygusuz Abdâl, Demir Baba, Seyyid Kalender Velî, Pîrî Baba, Sücâeddin Baba, Veli Baba, Seyyid Ali Sultan, Seyyid Mehemmed Abdal ve Seyyid Hacı Ali Tûrâbî Veli velâyetnameleri in our study. Before we started our study we determined the people who have velâyetname about the Bektashi culture in Anatolia and Rumelia since the second half of the thirteenth century. After that we started to make a card index of material culture elements from the beggining to the end by reading the Bektashi velâyetnameleri. We tried to classify the obtained cards to three parts by describing them according to their subjects. We formed these parts besides entry as1.Elements Devoted To Construction 2.Elements Devoted To The Production 3.The Other Material Elements. We didn't aim to prepare a text analysis while determining the material culture elements stated in Bektashi velâyetnameleri. While analyzing some of the parts that include material culture which we needed to explain, we only translated some of the other parts into daily Turkish. First of all, we gave the meaning of the words which are about the material culture elements and we donated their places in our study which is titled as Material Culture in Bektashi Velâyetnameleri. As a result of the determining material culture elements, we studied to determine which material culture elements are mostly stated in Bektashi velâyetnameleri and devoted to this we tried to make a general evoluation about the social life of Bektashi tradition in Anatolia and Rumelia. The work named Material Culture (1989) in Fuzuli Divan(Council) which is published by Ministry of Culture publication by Nahid Aybet has been a sample in our studies. We continued our studies devoted to the methods used in this work. As a result we tried to present information about the term's social life while determining the material values of Bektashi tradition which has an important place in Turkish history.
