Abstract:

The aim of this study is to examine the effects of teaching dramatization technique on the sixth grade students' academic achievement in Respiratory System. In this context, the independent variables (the use of dramatization technique, the use of traditional teaching, teacher-centered) effect on dependent variables (academic achievement) is aimed. Therefore, the research is quasi-experimental models. This study was achieved with 56 constitute 6th grade students in spring of the 2012-2013 academic year in the district of İstanbul Arnavutköy studying in a primary school. Experimental and control group in each of the 28 students are available. Courses in experimental and control groups and practices were carried out by the researcher in equal time. Research of the application is made on In Our Body System units located in the respiratory system. Research for 4 hours a week for 4 weeks was administered. Achievement test was used as a data collection tool. In the study, the analysis of the data obtained from measuring instruments were made with the SPSS package program. At the result of statistical analysis, positive and meaningful result were not found between experimental and control groups.
