Abstract:The interaction between man and machine has been instrumental in the emergence of studies on mental workload. Firstly in this research; with the idea that night vision goggle helicopter flight creates mental workload for pilots, NASA-TLX was applied to military helicopter pilots and the mental workload they encountered was tried to be measured numerically at different type of missions. After, the effects of different type night vision goggles to pilots at flight tried to be determined. For this purpose, military helicopter pilots were asked to score five questions in the questionnaire which are prepared for three types of goggles they tried and the results are evaluated statistically.
