Abstract:

Metabolic syndrome (MetS) is a serious public health problem that causes high morbidity and mortality with increasing prevalence of cardiac and metabolic complications and affects whole biological system includes reproductive organs in the world. The basis for the physiopathology of MetS is insulin resistance and adipose tissue disorders. Excessive amounts of reactive oxygen species are exposed during the result of the increase in adipose tissue that occurring with obesity during pathological events in the cell. Then testicular damage occurs. Due to highly usage of Bisphenol A and Fructose have ability cause metabolic disorder as MetS. For these purpose, fourty-two pubertal male Wistar-albino rats were divided equally into seven groups. Groups are; Group 1:(n=6) Control (sesame oil+ethanol), Group 2: (n=6) Fructose Group (%10 D-Fructose), Group 3: (n=6) BPA Group (25mg/bw/day), Group 4: (n=6) F-BPA Group (%10 D-Fructose+BPA 25mg/bw/day), Group 5: (n=6) F-Melatonin Group (20 mg//bw/day), Group 6: (n=6) BPA-Melatonin Group, Group 7: (n=6) F-BPA-Melatonin Group. At the end of the experimental period, all rats were sacrificed ant the uterine tissue of rats were removed. In this study, in light of these information, we aimed to determine any variations in the testis tissue and adipocytokines when exposed to BPA and Fructose in male rats and to determine the possible effects of melatonin exposure against the variations which may occur. While, BPA, Fruktoz ve Fruktoz+BPA groups cause testicular damage, administration of melatonin prevented partially this damage.
