Abstract:The aim of this research was to examine the relationship between career management practices in primary and secondary school and teachers' organizational commitment. Survey method was used in this research. Career Management and Relationship between Organizational Commitment Scale was used for getting data. This scale was developed by Kabadayı (2013). The sample of the research was constituted by 323 teachers that work in primary and secondary schools of Ankara Kazan district. SPSS 15.0 statistical software package was used to analysis of research of data. In the analysis of the data frequency, percentage, mean and standard deviation scores were calculated for descriptive data and t-test, ANOVA and Pearson Product Moment Correlations were calculated for comparative and relational analysis. Results of the analysis indicated that there was a significant positive correlation which was seen between career planning practices and teachers' affective commitment, continuance commitment and normative commitment. Career development practices of teachers with both the manager and the organization's role in the conclusion that moderate positive relationship between organizational commitment has been revealed. According to the gender and age of the teachers was also significant difference between organizational commitment. Continuance commitment subdimension of teacher commitment differed significantly variables of teachers' education level and working experience in the current schools. Teachers' opinion on role of institutions in career planning and the career development practices differed significantly according to gender, but teacher's opinion on school manager's role did not differed significantly.
