The Message Consent will create easy to use teaching tools in order to help educators and parents to teach and discuss consent to elementary students as a life skill. The aim of the project is to contribute to gender violence prevention by
intervening in early education and teaching both young boys and young girls regarding respecting personal boundaries, how to say no, and how to respect no, as well as ways to understand and respect both their own desires and those of other
people.
The project aims to develop all project management, implementation, and dissemination activities to ensure efficient collaboration among partners and smooth implementation. Moreover, the Message Consent Guide for Teachers and
interactive lesson plans and training material will focus on the transferring of all the related knowledge on the topic to the target groups, and together with the development of the Message Consent Digital Learning Hub will constitute the
substance of the project’s design.
The Message Consent project aims to equip educators of elementary schools with consent teaching skills as a life skill through innovative child-centered methods and interactive lesson plans to form healthy social interactions and promote
gender equality. It will also contribute to the prevention of gender-based violence and the promotion of the mental health of children and teachers to protect from and prevent bullying at school also through the creation of supportive discussion
spaces.
