In the transition from IPv4 protocol to IPv6 protocol, there is an additional cost due to the requirements of eliminating various hardware and software incompatibilities and ensuring security, and this cost varies according to the IPv6 support rate of the IT infrastructure owned for each country. For this reason, cost analysis should also be made for each method when determining transition strategies. For this purpose, it is important to know the current situation of the public and private sector and their needs in case of transition to IPv6, and two different surveys were conducted to determine the information infrastructure of the parties and their readiness for IPv6. As a result, in the light of the data obtained from the surveys, it is evaluated that the public and ISPs' infrastructure is not ready for IPv6 in general, and the cost of the transition will be above expectations.
