Özet

Cardiometabolic risk management is very important in the prevention of cardiovascular events. The risk of CVD raises in metabolic syndrome. You can protect yourself from heart attacks and strokes by investing a little time and effort. The term metabolic syndrome refers to the combination of several factors that tend to cluster together; as central obesity, hypertension, low HDL-cholesterol, raised triglycerides and blood glucose to increase risk of diabetes and CVD. Risk factor modifications have been shown to reduce CVD mortality and morbidity, particularly in high risk subjects. Being overweight increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
