Özet

Jacketing is the most popular method in the rehabilitation of the reinforced concrete columns under axial loading. Not only in Turkey, but also in the other technologically developed countries, this technique is widespread used. A square cross-sectioned column enlarged by four sides (jacketed) was tested under axial load in the laboratory and the achieved results were compared with the results obtained from the column which was modelled by ANSYS (R) finite element program. By comparing the experimental results with the prepared computer model results, it was shown that computer model results were similar to real behaviour.
