Abstract

© 2020 Elsevier B.V.. All rights reserved.Robots are used in industry as a machine tool for many years and are integrated into many areas. Materials can be machined without any contact in electrochemical machining (ECM). This paper presents, a new hybrid concept that combines ECM with a robotic arm which is called robotic electrochemical machining (RECM) and its components. RECM can be used for machining complex geometries with higher flexibilities and efficiency. Some of RECM properties are output of direct current (DC) power supply is 20 V-228A, workpiece coordinate detection accuracy is ±10 µm via image processing, position repeatability of the robotic arm is ±10 µm.
