Abstract

© 2019 IEEE.In this work, an approach based on nonuniform period variable pulse amplitude (VPA) switching strategy for pattern synthesis in time modulated arrays is presented. The approach utilizes optimization of on-time durations, switching frequencies and waveform amplitude by differential evolution (DE) algorithm for synthesizing desired sidelobe level (SLL), sideband level (SBL) and sideband radiation power (SRp). In the scope of the optimization procedure, 40 independent experiments are performed and the fastest slowest experiments are analyzed.
