Özet

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the usage of micronized natural zeolite that has big amounts of reserves in our country as an alternative to silica fume in high performance concrete. 10x10x10 cm, 10x20 cm and 15x30 cm concrete specimens made with 10% replaced silica fume, 15% replaced micronized zeolite were prepared to achieve this aim. Compressive strength and split tensile strength tests were done to concrete specimens on the 3rd ,7th ,14th ,21st, 28th ,56th, 90th and 365th days during the study and unit weight, water absorption, chloride-ion impermeability, porosity, modulus of elasticity, poisson ratio, carbonation, ultrasonic pulse velocity, capillarity, heat of hydration experiments were done and their relation compared with each other. Also SEM, FTIR, XRD, TGA analyses were done to specimens to observe the change in microstructure and the results obtained were compatible with each other. According to the results obtained from experiments, usage of 15% micronized zeolite gave close results to silica fume and it is observed that impermeable and durable concrete can be attained by usage of micronized zeolite instead of silica fume, therefore it is determined that micronzied zeolite can be alternative to silica fume.
