Özet

Prostate cancer (PCa) is the second most common type of cancer for men. Nutrition plays an important role in the development and progression of prostate cancer. Diet high energy, saturated fat, refined carbohydrates, and animal protein intake, as well as low intake of fresh vegetables and fruits, whole grains, essential minerals, and phytochemicals, are associated with the development of prostate cancer. All published studies were reviewed to summarize the effect of current dietary patterns on the etiology and treatment of prostate cancer in the light of available epidemiological evidence. The literature search was conducted from 2000 to March 2022 using electronic databases supplemented by manual review of the reference list of articles from PubMed, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar. The following key terms are used: Pub-Med, Web of Science, Scopus, and Google Scholar: ("Prostate Cancer" OR "Diet" OR "Nutrition" OR "Nutrient Intake" OR "Dietary Patterns" OR "Diet Patterns") terms are used. Dietary patterns and nutritional patterns may have different effects on the development of PCa. Effects of current nutritional patterns in the prevention and treatment of PCa in the light of current studies. The aim of this review is to examine the positive/negative effects of current nutritional patterns in the prevention and treatment of PCa in the light of current studies.
