Abstract

In our previous studies,1-3 we established the major, minor and toxic element status of stenotic mitral valves. From the results of these studies, we suggested that elucidation of the element status of mitral valve calcific deposits may provide useful information in the prevention of mitral valve calcific deposits found in rheumatic heart disease. This report examines this subject. © 1993.
