Özet

In this study, manganese (Mn) zinc (Zn), copper (Cu), cadmium (Cd) and lead (Pb) concentrations were determined in muscle and liver of Sind sardinella (Sardinella longiceps) collected from Balochistan coast, Pakistan, during autumin inter monsoon, north east monsoon, spring inter monsoon and south west monsoon during October 2005 September 2006. Fish showed accumulation of Mn (1.73 +/- 0.96, 4.5 +/- 2.47 g(-1)), Zn (3.10 +/- 2.11, 23.82 +/- 9.77 g(-1)), Cu (3.18 +/- 1.50, 26.08 +/- 13.81 mu g g(-1)), Cd (0.17 +/- 1.88, 0.91 +/- 0.61 mu g g(-1)) and Pb (0.25 +/- 1.77, 1.33 +/- 0.53 mu g g(-1)) in muscle, and liver respectively. Mn was above the permissible limits.
