Özet

This study aims to propose a classroom activity based on the Predict-Observe-Explain (POE) technique to correct a misconception about cylindrical and spherical mirrors. The 2-dimensional spherical mirror pictures in textbooks may lead to some misconceptions about image formation in spherical mirrors. Through the activity proposed in this paper, it will be possible to draw attention to the differences between a spherical mirror and a cylindrical mirror and to prevent possible misconceptions.
