Özet

In this study, it was aimed to develop the properties of 50/70 penetration grade bitumen with organic-based synthetic zincphosphate compound (OBZPC). OBZPC is a new additive material that is synthesized within the scope of the study and has not been used as bitumen modifier before. The effects of OBZPC on the bitumen and bituminous mixture properties were investigated through conventional (softening point test, ductility test, Marshall test, Nicholson stripping test) and superpave (rotational viscosity, bending beam rheometer, dynamic shear rheometer) test methods. OBZPC was added to the bitumen at the ratios of % 1, % 2, % 3, % 5, % 10 by mass and OBZPC concentration ratio to be used in the modification of bitumen was selected as % 3 by evaluating the viscosity test results. The low temperature rheological properties of the bitumen were determined to be improved by OBZPC modification. In addition to this, 3% OBZPC concentration has increased Marshall stability of the bituminous mixtures by % 6,1 and upgraded stripping resistance from % 30 to % 95.
