Özet

The aim of this study is taking students’ opinion about the qualities of modern teachers. According to the senior students of Faculty of Education in Celal Bayar University, all of the 38 suggested qualities of modern teacher were found to be important. According to the students’ opinion, the most important modern teacher quality was “showing democratic attitude in the classroom” and the least important modern teacher quality was “the ability of using a second language in an advanced level”. Approximately 54% of students have some prejudices against their teachers. It is found that the most of the prejudices were about the grading situation of teachers.
