Abstract

Insulators are vital components used in electrical transmission lines. It's crucial to keep their production cost low since they are widely used in electricity transmission. Instead of expensive alumina-based insulators, we can make cheaper ones using clay and bauxite found in nature. Adding more alumina makes them stronger, which is important for high voltage transmission. This paper aims to study the production process of bauxite-based insulators. We examined the insulators' structure using SEM images and EDAX spectrum analysis to see their formations, porosity ratio, and density. This research helps us learn more about these insulators and how they can be used effectively for high voltage transmission lines.
