Özet

The main goal in the research which has been carried hereby, is to analyze the Republican Era (1928-1948), children oriented political construction period in the Civics Books taught at schools. Within the research that has been carried out, with qualitative survey method, a scanning model that has been serving to the cause of the aforementioned aim which is the descriptive scanning model. Employing the document scrutiny technique data has been collected and data have been resolved by the content analysis technique. Sampling includes nine of the Civics Books published between the years, 1928-1948. The data can be analyzed over three main planes which are the removal of the Ottoman political legitimacy, political elements advanced towards the legitimacy of the new regime and the continuity of the new regime in a smooth manner. The data that have been collected within the comprehension of the research, when evaluated in a holistic point of view, during the Republican Period, the carrying farther of the common sense in the child's structural improvement, and that they are taken as an "independent" individual and in the pragmatist sense, a Nationalist, modern and loyal to regime Republican child is observed to be idealized.
