Abstract

RAKE meivers suffer degmdation in performance under fast fadirq due to emrs in channel state estimation. The wide-sense stationary un- correlated scatterer channel model lends itself to timeIrequency canonical representation, and provides additional diversity in the frequency &. That is, the joint multipath-Doppler diversity model enables the development of nonlinear decision-driven time-frequency multiuser detectors based on successive interference cancellation and multistage interference cancellation ideas. Simulation results demonstmte that the proposed nonlinear decision-driven time-frequency multiuser detectors promise substantially improved bit-emr-mte performance compared to previously proposed timefrequency multiuser detectors while ezhibiting strong resistance to the near-far effect
