Özet

This study was planned to determine the changes in the blood glucose, lactate and creatine kinase (CK) which is an indicator of muscle damage of elite beach handball players during the game. Material and methods: Eight elite male beach handball players voluntarily participated in the study. Blood samples were drawn with venipuncture from the forearm before and immediately after the game to determine blood glucose, lactate and CK levels. Results: At the end of study, there were significant increases in blood glucose, lactate and CK levels during the game (p < 0.05). Conclusion: It was concluded that the significant increase in CK and lactate values of beach handball players showed muscle damage in players to a certain degree.
