Gerromorpha and Leptopodomorpha (Insecta : Heteroptera) fauna of Southwest Anatolia

Özet

This study was based on 1627 specimens belonging to 12 species and 1 subspecies of 8 genera in 7 families of the infraorders Gerromorpha and Leptopodomorpha of the order Heteroptera. The specimens were collected from Southwest Anatolia (provinces Antalya, Burdur, Isparta, Denizli, Aydin, and Mugla) during 2000-2002. Eleven species and I subspecies of these are the first records for this area. These species are Mesovelia vittigera (Mesovelidae), Hebrus pusillus (Hebridae), Hydrometra stagnorum (Hydrometridae), Velia affinis filippii, V. caprai (Veliidae), Aquarius paludum, Gerris argentatus, G. costae, G. lacustris (Gerridae), Saldula pallipes, S. saltatoria (Saldidae), and Leptopus marmoratus (Leptopodidae). Distributions of each species in Turkey are given.
