Abstract

Background. Spinal cord injury remains a devastating complication of thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic operations. We aim to investigate neuro-protective role of vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF) administered to rabbits after occlusion against ischemiareperfusion (I/R) injury.
