Özet

The aim of this study was to determine the effect of simulation training on how first year nursing students learn some basic psychomotor skills. The study sample consisted of 82 students who were taking the Fundamentals of Nursing Course in the 2010-2011 training year. The students performed some basic psychomotor skills on the simulator (SimMan (R), Laerdal) for the study group, as a group session in the control group. We found that the students felt some anxiety when using the simulator for the first time but heard the arterial blood pressure sound effectively during measurement, also easily heard the respiratory sounds.
