Abstract

The paper presents unknown ultrastructure observed by scanning electron microscope (SEM) of aedeagus, genital capsule, parameres, spermatheca and genital plates of Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855) (Heteroptera: Pentatomidae) from Türkiye. The studied specimens were collected from Ankara province which are new provincial records for Türkiye. The genus Halyomorpha Mayr includes 2 species in the Palearctic region, while it is represented by one species in Türkiye. Aedeagus, genital capsule, parameres, spermatheca and genital plates are taxonomically important structures. Ultrastructural and detailed investigations of these of Halyomorpha halys (Stål, 1855) from Türkiye were firstly studied with SEM and stereo microscope to obtain new diagnostic characters in the genus Halyomorpha Mayr. Photos in SEM as well as photos in the stereo microscope are also given in the text.
