Abstract

Background. Spinal cord injury remains a devastating complication of thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic operations. We aim to investigate the neuroprotective role of adrenomedullin (AM) administered to rabbits before ischemia and during reperfusion against ischemia-reperfusion (I/R) injury.
