Flue gas temperature and emission values of non-premixed and premixed methane flames has been experimentally investigated under different thermal powers and excess air ratios in the present study. This study has been conducted for thermal powers of 5 kW, 10 kW, 15 kW and 20 kW and excess air ratios of lambda = 1,2, lambda = 1,5 and lambda = 1,7. The results show that the premixed methane flame is better than non-premixed methane flame in terms of flue gas temperature and CO emissions. It is concluded that flue gas temperatures and NOx emissions increase as thermal powers are increased. It is also exhibited that flue gas temperatures and NOx values decrease as excess air ratios are increased.
