The World Health Organization (WHO) defines a pandemic as the global spread of a new disease in which there is little or no pre-existing immunity in the human population, and now the coronavirus (Covid-19) outbreak is considered an extraordinary public health problem. A pandemic was declared by the World Health Organization on March 11, 2020. Quarantine, isolation, and social distance have been proposed by the World Health Organization (WHO) and health officials worldwide to combat the spread of the COVID-19 virus. In December 2019, a serious acute respiratory syndrome epidemic caused by Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2 or COVID-19) started in Wuhan, China’s Hubei province. The world of sports has also faced an unprecedented crisis, with the world reaching a sudden and unprecedented halt in the COVID-19 outbreak. In many countries, sports competitions, tournaments, and training sessions have been canceled indefinitely. The threat of global and regional international mega events postponed will also reveal the threat that athletes participating in these events will have an adverse effect on their psychological and physical performance. In this study, the effects of compulsory isolation period on athletes’ performance due to Covid-19 outbreak were investigated.
