Abstract

Many decisions in real life applications require taking different criteria into consideration simultaneously. To find a moderate solution to these kind of decisions, multiple criteria decision making approaches are used. Furthermore, crisp logic is unable to express the vagueness and uncertainty in evaluation of criteria. Hence, multiple criteria decision making approaches are commonly integrated with fuzzy logic. In recent years, ordinary fuzzy sets have been extended to new types. Neutrosophic set is one of the extensions of fuzzy sets and introduces a new component called "indeterminacy", and carry more information than fuzzy sets. In this study, Neutrosophic Fuzzy Analytic Hierarchy Process (NF-AHP) method is presented. NF-AHP is used to construct a ranking model for cities in views of safety under four main criteria and 21 subcriteria. The obtained results show that the most important criterion of city safety is personal security.
