The correlation between physical properties and photocatalytic activity in ZnO-based films synthesized using ultrasonic spray pyrolysis was examined. The structural analysis confirmed the hexagonal crystal structure for all films while doping introduced diverse morphologies, including nanogranular, nanopetal, and nanoflake structures. Notably, multi-doped films exhibited decreased surface roughness. Additionally, doping resulted in a reduction in the optical band gap values. Enhanced photocatalytic efficiency was observed for ZnO and Al-doped ZnO films. The study's findings underscore the potential of tailoring ZnO film properties through doping to achieve improved photocatalytic performance.
