Özet

Mucoralactone A (1), a novel steroid, was isolated from the liquid culture of Mucor plumbeus. Its structure was elucidated with the aid of extensive spectroscopic studies. Mucoralactone A (1) has a lactone moiety incorporated in its structure, and exhibited acetylcholinesterase enzyme inhibition activity with an IC50 value of 19 μM and modest antifungal activity against Candida albicans. © 2006 The Japan Institute of Heterocyclic Chemistry.
