Biyografi
Tayfun Okan received his Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Gazi University in 2018. He was with University of Turkish Aeronautical Association (Ankara), Electrical and Electronics Engineering Department, between 2012 and 2021, as a lecturer (2012-2018) and assistant professor (2018-2021). He then joined the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering of Gazi University in 2021.
Tayfun has published studies in different journals, and has presented research outcomes in several conferences. His research interests lie in the fields including:
- Electromagnetics, microwave and antenna engineering (design, development, optimization, analysis, manufacturing and measurement)
- Sub-6 GHz and mm-wave antenna technologies (array, MIMO antenna structures) for 5G wireless communication systems
- Waveguides, impedance matching, TE-TM-TEM waves, transmission lines
- Near field/far field antenna radiation pattern calculations, radar cross section calculation algorithms
- Filter design
- In-body antenna applications for biotelemetry applications (by forming mimicking gels)
- Computational electromagnetic, high frequency techniques (PO, GO, GTD, SBR, MLFMA)
- Metamaterial and metasurface-based devices
- Graphene applications in terahertz band
