Özet

© 2022 IEEE.This study investigates effects of adaptive reserve management on Automatic Generation Control (AGC) to an interconnected grid includes IEEE nine-bus power system connected to external grid via tie-line. Developed AGC control algorithm consists of three sub-Algorithms; Load Frequency Control (LFC), Power Allocation (P A) and Reserve Monitoring and Control (RMC) algorithms which are responsible for ACE calculation, Area Control Error (ACE) allocation and reserve monitoring and control, respectively. A novel Secure-Driven (SD) control approach implemented to perform adaptive reserve management by activating all reserve groups simultaneously in case of emergency condition. Market-Oriented (MO) control approach also developed in order to compare the performance of normal and adaptive AGC actions. This study shows that adaptive (SD) control approach is more effective method to reduce ACE value than normal (MO) control approach.
