Abstract

The infrared and Raman spectra of six new metal (II) 2,4-lutidine tetracyanonickelate complexes, M(L)(2)Ni(CN)(4), [M = Mn, Cd, Fe, Co, Zn or Ni, L = 2,4-lutidine] have been studied. Their structure consists of polymeric layers of [M - Ni(CN)(4)]infinity with 2,4-lutidine molecules bound directly to the metal (M). The effective magnetic moments of the complexes are also given.
