Özet

To study the effect of processing time on mechanical alloying, Al powders were mixed with reinforcing particles of SiC %15 by volume and milled in a high energy attritor which runs at a speed of 1300 rev/min. The process was performed in open air with a water cooled attritor for 0.5, 1, 2.5, 5 and 10 hours. To determine the optimum alloying time together with particles size analysis, SEM with EDAX were used.
