Özet

The effect of various crosslinkers (Ca2+, Ba2+, Sr2+) and additive polymers such as Carbopol(R) 941, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose and Eudragit(R) RS 30 on the release rate and entrapment efficiency of nicardipine HCL from alginate beads was investigated. The mean particle sizes and the swelling ratios of the beads were also determined. Ca alginate beads displayed prolonged release profiles when compared to the Ba and Sr alginate beads. The addition of various polymers increased the release rate of nicardipine HCl from the beads compared with the plain beads.
