Abstract: The integration of meticulous occlusal management and thorough radiographic evaluation significantly enhances the success rates of implant-supported prostheses. Proper occlusal management ensures the appropriate distribution of functional loads, thus minimizing the risk of complications. Concurrently, radiographic assessments provide critical insights into the status of the implants and surrounding tissues, allowing for early detection and proactive management of potential issues. By prioritizing occlusal harmony and utilizing advanced radiographic technologies, the outcomes of implant-supported restorations can be significantly improved, contributing to the patients’ overall well-being and satisfaction. The T-scan system provides a valuable method for the clinical evaluation and identification of occlusal issues. It can also be utilized to assess occlusal patterns in patients with peri-implantitis. The relationship between occlusal problems and periodontal disease remains debated. This systematic review updates the understanding of occlusion on dental implants, its impact on the surrounding peri-implant tissues, the effects of occlusal overload on implants and the new approaches for occlusal registration methods (T-Scan III Device).
